Hwang Sun-hong-ho, 'injury variable' from the first day of his call-up...Byun Joon-soo and Kang Yoon-gu Get Off

The U-22 Olympic team, led by head coach Hwang Sun-hong, was convened in Changwon on the afternoon of the 28th in preparation for the first Asian qualifying round for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Group B match of the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup (Qatar on Sept. 6, Kyrgyzstan on Sept. 9, and Myanmar on Sept. 12).

The 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup is a competition that will qualify for the Paris Olympics. The national team is determined to win all games in order to boost its team's power, even if its opponent is weak, as elimination from the preliminary round will block the way to participate in the Olympics.

Coach Hwang announced a list of 26 players on the 22nd for the Olympic team's Changwon training, but from the first day of the call-up training, he faced unfavorable factors in replacing players due to injuries.

Defender Byun Joon-soo (Daejeon Hana Citizen) and midfielder Kang Yoon-gu (Ulsan Hyundai) dropped out due to injuries, while defender Lee Sang-hyuk (Kimpo) and striker Hong Yoon-sang (Pohang) were called instead.

In addition, Kim Joon-hong (Kim Chun), who was originally selected as a goalkeeper resource, selected Shin Song-hoon (Kim Chun) as an alternative resource as he was called by the A national team announced on the same day.

The Korea Football Association explains that Kim Joon-hong's replacement was coordinated by Hwang Sun-hong and Jürgen Klinsmann.

An official from the Korea Football Association said, "Coach Klinsmann was interested in Kim Joon-hong, who was selected for the Olympic team's call-up training while looking for alternative goalkeeper resources after hearing the news of Song Bum-keun's injury."

Coach Hwang also had to change four players before starting the call-up training, excluding Bae Joon-ho (Daejeon), who is preparing to transfer to England's Stoke City, and selecting Hwang Jae-hwan (Ulsan).

Coach Hwang will start preparing for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifying round through his first training session at Changwon Football Center in the late afternoon of the 28th.

Qatar, the first opponent on September 6, has an automatic right to participate as the host country of the finals, so the results of the match do not affect the ranking.

South Korea is ahead of its second opponent, Kyrgyzstan, with one win in the U-23 national team reversal record, and has one win and one draw against its third opponent, Myanmar.

Tickets for Hwang Sun-hong's three games will be sold through the Korea Football Association's online purchase platform "PLAYKFA" from 7 p.m. on the 30th.

If online sales tickets are not sold out, on-site sales will be made at the Changwon Football Center ticket office on the day of the game  토토사이트
