'European' Hong Hyun-seok (Ghent), who is expected to play a pivotal role for the men's soccer team at the Hangzhou Asian Games, is taking to heart the advice of the 'senior gold medalists' 스포츠토토 he met in the senior national team.

"I'm just excited that the Asian Games are just around the corner and I need to be well prepared," he told reporters on Thursday at the National Training Center (NFC) in Paju.

"Training with my older brothers, I learn a lot about tempo and defense," he said, adding, "Playing against Wales, I realized what I lacked, and I thought I had to get my act together for the Asian Games."

The current A team has players with Asian Games experience, including "captain" Son Heung-min (Tottenham), who competed in Jakarta-Palembang 2018.

"My brothers told me that the Asian Games is not an easy competition. "They told me that there will be ups and downs during the tournament, and that we need to stick together as a team," he said.

A 'multi-resource' who can play in a variety of positions, including central midfield, he said, "As a central midfielder, defense is important and I think I've been doing a good job. I'm also confident in my offense," he said, adding, "I'm always ready and eager to play in any position."

With the timing of 'ace' Lee Kang-in's (Paris Saint-Germain) departure still up in the air, some say Hong Hyun-seok could take his place.
