“We are taking very big steps as the largest renewable energy company in India and the world’s leading developer of solar power,” he declared. “We are constructing the largest renewable energy park in the world at Khavda, Gujarat. It is enormous and will be able to generate 30 gigawatts of energy. It is larger than Paris by more than five times, with an area of 538 square kilometres. By 2030, Adani, the head of the apples-to-airport conglomerate, stated that this is a part of the goal to reach 45 GW of renewable energy, despite Adani Group controversies, which don’t hold much significance now. 

He said, “This will be like giving clean energy to almost every house in England.” It now has locked-in projects totalling up to 21.8 Gigawatt (GW) and an operating renewable portfolio of over 9.5 GW. In order to limit disastrous climate change and decarbonise as quickly as possible, The Gallery investigates more sustainable ways of producing and using energy.”

Plastons showcasing essential low-carbon renewable energy technologies—from solar, wind, and hydropower to hydrogen and nuclear—as well as noteworthy historical inventions that serve as a reminder that significant change is achievable and that many of the technologies required to achieve the low-carbon energy transition are already in place radiate outward from the centre. 

Items in this area include the first electric taxi, the Bersey cab, which was hailed by Londoners in 1897, and a 7-meter-long tidal turbine blade manufactured by Scottish renewable energy company Orbital Marine Power. Visitors are encouraged to use models that demonstrate how energy can be produced and delivered, as well as play interactive games that explore the issues of electrification, energy storage, and supply and demand. Along with the decarbonisation of our building and construction industries, possible paths to low-carbon transportation are highlighted.
